Texas PUC Staff Would Decline To Adopt EOP Rule Changes Sought By Retail Providers

Staff of the Texas PUC have filed a recommended proposal for adoption to implement changes to the rules governing the required development and submission of Emergency Operations Plans (EOP) by various industry participants, including REPs
In doing so, Staff would not grant the relief sought by REPs
In the rulemaking, REPs had proposed that, for retail providers, the requirement to file
a complete EOP every three years should be extended to no more than once every five years.
Staff would reject this proposal, and would maintain the existing three-year requirement
