National Grid Files New Residential, Commercial Default Service Rates

National Grid in Massachusetts has filed new electricity basic service rates for the period beginning February 1, 2026

Rates below include the currently effective Basic Service Administrative Cost Adjustment Factors (BSACFs) and Smart Grid Customer Cost Adjustment Factors (SGCCAFs) which may change by or on February 1, 2026

Using the currently effective BSACFs and SGCCAFs, National Grid's fixed residential basic service rate for the period February 1, 2026 through July 31, 2026 is 15.372¢ per kWh, versus the current 15.484¢ per kWh

Six retail suppliers on Energy Switch MA are offering fixed rates below National Grid's current and new SOS rates, with several competitive retail plans offering savings of 1¢/kWh

Using the currently effective BSACFs and SGCCAFs, National Grid's fixed commercial basic service rate for the period February 1, 2026 through July 31, 2026 is 14.493¢ per kWh, versus the current 14.411¢ per kWh
