The Connecticut PURA granted an electric supplier license to "All Choice Energy, LLC" [sic], to serve residential, commercial, and industrial customers. The application was filed by the entity All Choice Energy NE LLC (which appears as the applicant under the case's caption). In its application, All Choice indicated that the sole reason it is requesting a license to serve residential customers is to offer the owners of its commercial customers the opportunity to enroll their residences with All Choice Energy.

A company named NRG Wise Solutions Inc. has applied at the Illinois Commerce Commission for certification to install, maintain, or repair electric vehicle charging stations. NRG Wise Solutions, which offers various other energy-related services including lighting, has been organized in Illinois since 2023, and is described as a, "small privately owned business." NRG Wise Solutions Inc. is not affiliated with NRG Energy, Inc.
