Broker Announces Strategic Acquisition
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
TPI Efficiency (TPI) announced the "strategic acquisition" of the sustainability, energy advisory, and procurement firms Community Energy Advisors (CEA) and Viridi.
The acquisition is backed by ScaleCo Capital (ScaleCo), a Cleveland-based private equity firm
Community Energy Advisors is a certified electricity and natural gas brokerage established in 2013 with a focus on mid-sized commercial clients, with a sister company, Viridi, focused on making sustainability affordable. CEA serves customers directly as well as through community-based organizational partnerships
TPI’s CEO, Vin Zachariah, stated, "CEA immediately strengthens TPI’s ability to scale. Their Chamber-driven channel-partner model opens doors to thousands of businesses we weren’t reaching before, and it aligns perfectly with our vision of building the Midwest’s leading independent energy procurement platform. By combining CEA’s deep community relationships with TPI’s foundation, we’re accelerating our growth trajectory and creating a powerhouse offering for customers across the region."
ScaleCo, in continued partnership with Agility Equity Partners and Tecum Capital, completed the acquisition
Vin Deshpande and Fernado Alvarez from A&D Global Advisors LLC / M&A Securities Group Inc. served as exclusive financial advisors to both Community Energy Advisors, LLC and Viridi, LLC.
