Texas PUC Staff has not revised any timelines related to PUC's Evaluation of Transmission Cost Recovery, Project 58484
The lack of a specific date explicitly listed in the revised timeline indicated that there was no change to the previously provided timeline
The timeline remains June 2026 for a proposal for publication and December 2026 for a recommended adoption order
Texas PUC Staff filed an updated roadmap detailing the progress made in implementing SB 6 which includes revised timelines for implementing the remainder of SB 6.
Notably, in the revised roadmap, the PUC's Evaluation of Transmission Cost Recovery, Project 58484, no longer has a projected date for a recommended final order
Previously, for the Transmission Cost Recovery review, a Proposal for Publication was projected for June 2026 and a Recommended Adoption Order was projected for December 2026. The original evaluation period for the project, which has already had two rounds of comments, two sets of RFIs, and a workshop, had previously been projected as June 20, 2025 to March 30, 2026
Notably, even the Evaluation Period under the revised roadmap no longer has listed a set timeframe or end date, with the roadmap listing this as "N/A"
Staff noted that in addition to the stakeholder engagement described above, other milestones achieved to date in the project include, "Conducted analysis of the four coincident peak methodology and alternative methodologies".
The roadmap projects outstanding activities for the Evaluation of Transmission Cost Recovery project as creation of a draft report, public comment on such draft, presentation of a finalized report with Staff recommendations for the Commission’s consideration at an open meeting, and the start of rulemaking projects to implement policy direction provided by the Commission
