PSC Reports Load, Customer Count Of Each Retail Supplier By Service Area

The Michigan PSC released its calendar year 2025 report on retail electric choice

The report includes, by service area, the MW served and customer count of each retail supplier

Such data starts on page 16 of the report, available here

The PSC reported that electric choice programs for Consumers Energy Co., DTE Electric Co., Upper Peninsula Power Co., Upper Michigan Energy Resources Corp., Cloverland Electric Cooperative and Indiana Michigan Power Co. remained at, near, or slightly above their 10% cap for 2024

The number of customers participating in the electric choice program grew slightly in 2025 to 5,517 from 5,514 in 2024. Nearly all choice participants are commercial or industrial customers

About 5,101 customers remained in the queue of those interested in participating in the choice program if space becomes available under the 10% cap.
