Developer Withdraws Two Generation Projects From TEF In-ERCOT Loan Program

Nightpeak Energy LLC has withdrawn the Bulldog Power Project (310 MW) and Homestead Power Project (260 MW) from the In-ERCOT Texas Energy Fund Loan Program
Nightpeak stated, "Nightpeak and the development of the Homestead Power Project [and Bulldog project] is funded pursuant to a closed-end private equity fund structure which is not compatible with the requirements of the TEF Loan Program which would require restrictions on transfers of investments in the project up to the fund level. In addition, given the current offtake market in ERCOT and Nightpeak's reliance on senior project financing for both construction and offtake collateral purposes, the requirement for any additional debt capital to subordinate to an exclusive first lien would make the final financing terms uncertain and likely unworkable, which is a conclusion we reached after months of detailed discussions with prospective offtakers and the capital markets community."
Although Nightpeak will not be pursuing TEF loan funds at this time, Nightpeak said that it will continue to develop the Bulldog and Homestead projects
