Heritage Energy Holdings Secures $28.5 Million Strategic Financing to Launch Scaled Distributed Generation Platform Across ERCOT

Heritage Energy Holdings (Heritage), which describes itself as a vertically integrated distributed energy platform operating in the Texas ERCOT market, today announced the successful closing of a $28.5 million senior secured financing from Eagle Point Credit.
The financing supports the initial stage of Heritage’s strategy to develop and operate a network of sub-10 MW battery storage and solar projects across approximately 40 load-adjacent sites throughout Texas.
The transaction also accelerates deployment of Heritage's distributed Virtual Power Plant (VPP) platform.
Heritage said, "Unlike traditional utility-scale developers, Heritage operates an integrated 'Gen-Tailer' architecture -- combining distributed generation assets with licensed retail electricity operations through its affiliation with Heritage Power, an independent Texas-based retail electric provider. This structure allows Heritage to aggregate distributed solar and storage assets to achieve utility-scale impact while bypassing lengthy interconnection queues, enhancing grid reliability, and capturing value from ERCOT market volatility."
"This financing represents an important milestone in executing our long-term platform strategy," said Tim Sanchez, Chief Executive Officer of Heritage Energy Holdings. "Texas continues to experience structural load growth and increasing demand for flexible, distributed resources. Our integrated model allows us to deploy capital efficiently, strengthen the grid, and serve customers across residential, commercial, governmental, and industrial sectors. We recently placed a solar facility into service and are actively working to develop additional load-adjacent sites throughout Texas."
Eagle Point Credit provided the senior secured capital supporting the acquisition and initial platform buildout.
"The successful closing of this financing validates the distributed generation platform model we have been developing," said Michael Tackett, Co-Founder of Heritage Energy Holdings. "By controlling both generation assets and customer load within ERCOT, we are building an institutional-grade infrastructure platform designed for scale. This transaction establishes the capital foundation for significant growth across our development pipeline."
"The transaction positions Heritage to advance its shared vision with capital partners for building scalable, distributed energy infrastructure assets that address reliability, resilience, and energy affordability in the Texas market," Heritage said
