Liberty Wholesale Commodities Conditionally Receives Texas Retail Provider Certificate

The Texas PUC conditionally granted an Option 2 retail electric provider certificate to Liberty Wholesale Commodities LLC
Option 2 REPs are limited to serving customers 1 MW and larger which provide an affidavit agreeing to such service
As is customary under the circumstance in which an Option 2 applicant has not yet provided an affidavit from a least one customer which is 1 MW or larger, the grant of the REP certificate to Liberty Wholesale Commodities is conditioned on Liberty Wholesale Commodities filing, within 30 days, a signed, notarized affidavit from each customer that Liberty Wholesale Commodities has contracted with to provide 1 MW or more of energy
As previously reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, Liberty Wholesale Commodities is part of Liberty Energy Inc., whose businesses include Liberty Power Innovations LLC, which provides advanced distributed power and energy storage solutions for the commercial and industrial, data center, energy, and mining industries.
Additionally, in 2025, Oklo Inc., which is described as an advanced nuclear technology company, and Liberty Energy Inc. launched a strategic alliance to, "accelerate integrated power solutions for large-scale, high-demand customers, including data centers, industrial facilities, and utility-scale sites."
