Pepco Residential Volumetric SOS Generation Charge Increasing 5% For Summer, Another 4% For Winter 2026/27

Pepco in the District of Columbia has filed new electricity SOS rates for the period beginning June 1, 2026
The rates below do not include the Transmission Service Charge or Procurement Cost Adjustment. The Generation Service Charges listed below do not include the separate SOS admin charge; the separate SOS admin charge is listed for certain classes
For residential customers, Pepco-DC's residential volumetric Generation Service Charge, applicable to usage in excess of 30 kWh, is to increase by nearly 5% on June 1, 2026, with another increase of nearly 4% to be in effect for November 1, 2026 through May 31, 2027. The flat monthly SOS charge and the SOS admin charge are also increasing as listed below.
Specifically, for Schedule R residential customers, Pepco-DC has filed to set the Generation Service Charge as follows:
For Schedule GS - LV - ND customers, Pepco-DC's SOS Generation Service Charge is to be $0.13874 per kWh for June through October 2026, which is about 4% higher than the current charge of $0.13344 per kWh. For Schedule GS - LV - ND customers, Pepco-DC's SOS Generation Service Charge would increase another 4% to $0.14440/kWh for the period November 2026 to May 2027. These GSCs do not include the bypassable admin charge, which is not changing for Schedule GS - LV - ND under this rate update
