Vistra Expands Residential Battery Aggregation Program In Texas

Vistra announced an expansion of its battery aggregation program in Texas to include Enphase Energy's IQ Batteries, further scaling its residential virtual power plant (VPP).
The program, Battery Rewards, is offered through Vistra's retail electricity brand, TXU Energy, and allows eligible Enphase customers to earn incentives by exporting stored battery power to the grid during periods of high demand.
Battery Rewards provides customers a $100 digital reward card every six months, rather than paying per event. If a customer does not participate in at least 90% of these events, the customer may be unenrolled from the program by TXU Energy
