Texas PUC Publishes Consumer Solar Website Which Retail Providers Must Link To & Provide Notice Of Availability In REP Bills

The Texas PUC has posted a webpage providing information and education for Texas customers concerning home solar
Under SB 1697, upon publication of such home solar guide by the PUC, or any future revision to such guide, retail electric providers are required to undertake the following actions for a period of 12 months:
• REPs are required to include, on the REP's website, a link to the PUC's home solar guide
• REPs shall include, in each bill, information about accessing the PUC's home solar guide
The new home solar guide is part of the previously reported new Consumer Help Hub launched by the PUC
REPs will be notified by the PUC concerning the specific link to use for the home solar guide
Among other things, the guide includes questions that customers should ask their retail provider when the customer considers home solar, such as the availability of buy-back plans from the REP, and any rebates or incentives offered by or through the REP
The guide is available here, but, as noted, the PUC will inform REPs concerning the specific link to use
