Smart Home Management Company Re-files Registration As Texas Electric Broker

Emporia Corp. d/b/a Emporia Energy Corp. has filed a new registration form for registration as a Texas retail electricity broker
As first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, Emporia Corp. had filed a broker registration in January. The only obvious difference in the new registration, versus the copy filed in January, is the change in its trade name to be "Emporia Energy Corp." versus the prior listing of "Emporia Energy".
Emporia's website states, "Emporia is building the nation's largest virtual power plant, one home battery at a time."
As previously reported, Emporia describes its solutions as "Smart Home Energy Management Made Easy", with products including EV chargers, Vue Energy Monitor, Utility Connect (streams real-time data on total customer system usage when available under AMI), smart plugs, and home batteries
"Automate electricity bill savings with Emporia’s award-winning products," Emporia's website states
Emporia states on its website, "The Emporia Home Energy Management Platform is a smart, automated solution that helps you save on energy costs. It works seamlessly in the background to monitor energy usage in real-time, down to individual circuits and appliances, and automatically adjusts connected devices to optimize electricity use and maximize savings."
Excess solar management, smart scheduling, and peak demand management are among the features of the platform
