Spark Energy Receives Authority To Serve New Service Areas, Customer Classes (Including Residential)
The Pennsylvania PUC granted Spark Energy Gas, LLC an amended Pennsylvania natural gas supplier license to: (1) additionally serve residential customers and small commercial customers (under 6,000 Mcf annually) in both Spark Energy Gas, LLC's existing and new service areas, and (2) to add the new service areas of National Fuel Gas Distribution, Peoples Natural Gas Company-Peoples Natural Gas Division, Peoples Natural Gas Company-Peoples Gas Division, and Philadelphia Gas Works to Spark Energy Gas, LLC's authority; with Spark Energy Gas, LLC authorized to serve all customer classes in both its new and existing service areas. Previously, the specific entity Spark Energy Gas, LLC had been authorized to serve large commercial (6,000 MCF or more annually), industrial, and governmental customers at Columbia Gas, PECO, and UGI Utilities.
