ERCOT Receives Notification of Suspension of Operations

On May 29, 2026, ERCOT received a Notification of Suspension of Operations for the following Generation Resource: CPS Energy (B_DAVIS_B_DAVIG1)
The NSO indicates that on August 18, 2025, the Generation Resource experienced a Forced Outage. As a result of the Forced Outage, CPS Energy intends to decommission and retire the Resource permanently. The NSO further indicates that the Generation Resource has a Summer Seasonal Net Max Sustainable Rating of 292 MW and a Summer Seasonal Net Minimum Sustainable Rating of 55 MW.
Separately, ERCOT issued a reliability analysis determination for Brownsville Public Utilities Board units SILASRAY_SILAS_6 and SILASRAY_SILAS_9, which had previously submitted an NSO
The Brownsville SILASRAY_SILAS_6 and SILASRAY_SILAS_9 NSO had indicated that on October 29, 2025, the Generation Resources experienced a Forced Outage. As a result of the Forced Outage, Brownsville Public Utilities Board intends to decommission and retire the Resources permanently. The NSO further indicates that the Generation Resources have a Summer Seasonal Net Max Sustainable Rating of 15 MW and 39 MW and a Summer Seasonal Net Minimum Sustainable Rating of 14 MW and 34 MW, respectively.
ERCOT issued a determination that SILASRAY_SILAS_6 and SILASRAY_SILAS_9 are not required to support ERCOT transmission system reliability, and SILASRAY_SILAS_6 and SILASRAY_SILAS_9 may suspend operations according to the schedule in the NSO.
