The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com

Octopus Energy announced that, for every Team USA match during the World Cup, up to 1,000 eligible Octopus Energy customers can earn free power (energy supply) during designated match windows.

Those who successfully opt in will receive a credit for their electricity supply usage during the match window, which will appear on their next bill.

The free power covers the Octopus energy rate during the eligible match window. It does not cover delivery charges, taxes, fees, or any other non-energy charges.

Customers on month to month plans are not eligible to receive free power under the program

Registration opens five days before each match, and spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis through links shared on Octopus Energy's social media channels and in the Octopus app. Customers must register separately for each game.

The promotion launches ahead of Team USA’s opening match against Paraguay on June 12th and continues through group-stage matches against Australia on June 19th and Turkey on June 25th. If Team USA advances, Octopus Energy may announce additional free power opportunities throughout the tournament.

"The initiative builds on Octopus Energy US's broader mission to reimagine the energy experience by pairing innovative technology with customer-focused programs that help households get more from their energy provider," Octopus said
