PSC Approves Purchase Of Receivables Discount Rate
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
The Maryland PSC approved as-filed Washington Gas Light's annual update to the purchase of receivables discount rate for non-residential customers
The WGL-MD non-residential POR discount will remain at 0% in Maryland, reflecting the zero-ing out of a negative discount rate which otherwise results from the annual POR discount calculation, per PSC precedent
The latest 0% non-residential discount, as unchanged under the annual update, has an effective date of meter readings on and after June 29, 2026, and typically lasts for one year.
No POR discount updates were made for residential service, as residential POR ended on Dec. 31, 2025, apart from cancels/rebills and similar revisions to prior receivables. The reconciliation of the final residential POR balances is subject to a previously reported process
