Broker Seeks Approval To Use Trade Name 000 Energy, Retail Suppliers/Brokers Flock To Low Alpha-numeric Names, Apparently Driven By PA Power Switch's Default Sorting

Via Energy Solutions, LLC applied at the Pennsylvania PUC to amend its electric and natural gas broker/marketer licenses to include authority to use the trade name "000 Energy"
Via Energy Solutions, LLC stated an intent to use the 000 Energy brand name, "in the near future"
Via Energy Solutions, LLC further stated that no customer currently served by Via Energy Solutions will be transferred to or served by the company under the 000 Energy name.
Via Energy Solutions, LLC would continue to also market under the Via Energy Solutions brand
The default PA Power Switch sorting is alphabetical (starting with A), but with numeric-leading names appearing first (staring with 0), with current top-listed offers being from suppliers or brokers branded as:
• 0 Commit Energy (affiliated with Achieve Energy Solutions)
• 1776 Energy (Electricity Ratings, which also just received authority this week to use the trade names 0 Adversity, 000 Adversity, 0 aarghs, and 000 aarghs, (story here)
