Lubbock Power & Light Force Majeure Affecting DNPs, Other Orders Extends Into Second Day
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
Lubbock Power & Light reported that, starting June 10, Lubbock Power & Light declared a Force Majeure, due to a combination of multiple system outages over the past 18 hours, including the Verizon outage that affected West Texas
"Our advanced metering technology provider continues to experience system outages. As a result, remote meter activities cannot currently be completed and must be dispatched to the field," LP&L said in an update on the morning of June 11
Field resources are being prioritized for outage restoration, reconnects following payment, move-in turn-ons and installs, and move out turn-off orders. Disconnect for non-pay orders will be canceled under Force Majeure (T022). Reconnects, turn-ons, and turn-off orders will continue to be worked but may experience delays because they require field completion. Emergency work and customers without power will receive priority.
