Regulatory Caption Indicates PSEG Energy Solutions LLC Seeking Electric Supplier License In New State

A caption for a regulatory filing at the Maryland PSC is labeled as follows: "PSEG Energy Solutions LLC filed, on June 18, 2026, its Application for License to Supply Electricity or Electric Supply to the Public in the State of Maryland (Confidential)."
A copy of the filing was not immediately available, and EnergyChoiceMatters stresses that EnergyChoiceMatters could not immediately verify the accuracy of the caption associated with the filing which was posted on the Maryland PSC's docket site
PSEG Energy Solutions was previously licensed as a Maryland retail electric supplier in 2016, but in 2018 filed to withdraw its Maryland retail supplier license as part of a wind-down of its retail business
Notably, while PSEG Energy Solutions withdrew its Maryland retail license, PSEG Energy Solutions has maintained a retail electric supplier license in other states notwithstanding the wind-down, including Pennsylvania and New Jersey. A long-standing statement on a PSEG Energy Resources & Trade LLC webpage (which is the landing page from a redirect from PSEG Energy Solutions's former website link) has stated that PSEG Energy Solutions is not marketing services at this time
