CenterPoint-TDU Files Settlement To Reduce Rider TEEEF Rates Charged To Retail Providers

Energy Houston Electric, LLC has entered into a settlement with Texas PUC Staff and several cities with original jurisdiction to lower the amount charged to retail electric providers under Rider TEEEF - Temporary Emergency Electric Energy Facility
The Office of Public Utility Counsel, Texas Consumer Association, Texas
Industrial Energy Consumers, and Texas Energy Association for Marketers are unopposed to the
settlement.
The Rider TEEEF reductions reflect the removal of certain mobile generation units from the TEEEF revenue requirement

The settlement rates are lower than the existing TEEEF rates as shown below
The settlement's TEEEF rates are proposed to be effective August 15, 2026
If necessary,
to ensure rate implementation on this date, CEHE will implement interim
rates effective for customers’ meters read on and after August 15, 2026, pending the final
adjudication of the settlement.
No later than 45 days prior to August 15, 2026, CEHE will provide notice of the interim rates to retail electric providers via electronic
mail.
