NRG Acquires Texas Retail Customer Book

NRG Energy recently acquired a book of Texas retail electric customers from OhmConnect Texas, LLC
OhmConnect Texas, LLC is not continuing Texas retail electric operations, and filed to relinquish its Texas REP certificate
OhmConnect Texas retail electric customers were transferred to Direct Energy, an NRG Energy brand
Direct Energy is honoring existing OhmConnect Energy contracts and rates
An FAQ concerning the transition states:
Q25: I currently participate in OhmConnect Energy’s Demand Response services. Will that change?
A25: Yes. As part of the transition, your participation in OhmConnect Energy’s Demand Response services will come to an end. Once
your account has transitioned, and you receive your new account number, you will have the opportunity to enroll in the Direct Energy
Demand Response program. Additional enrollment details will be provided after the transition is complete.
Q26: I participate in the Watts Reward Program. Will my rewards transition with my account to Direct Energy?
A26: No, this program will not transition to Direct Energy. Any rewards earned should be redeemed prior to your transition to Direct
Energy. If you take no action, your Watts balance will be automatically applied to your final invoice from OhmConnect Energy.
