Watt Alpha LLC, a start-up, registered as a Texas retail electric broker. Cade Younger is listed as a member of Watt Alpha LLC


Public Grid Seeks Pennsylvania License

Cottage Energy, Inc. d/b/a Public Grid applied for a Pennsylvania electric broker/marketer license to serve residential customers in all service areas. Public Grid is registered as a broker or equivalent in Texas, New York, Illinois, and Massachusetts. Public Grid in the application stated that Public Grid has executed, "approximately 4,000 residential enrollments since September 2025".


Energia Power Receives Illinois License

The Illinois Commerce Commission granted Energia Power LLC an electric agent, broker, and consultant license. Energia Power LLC is a broker based in Ohio which has expanded into Michigan and which registered as a Texas electric broker last fall.


Brookfield Renewable Energy Marketing US, LLC Relinquishing Maryland Retail Supplier License

Brookfield Renewable Energy Marketing US, LLC ("Brookfield") provided notice to the Maryland PSC of of Brookfield's intent to cease providing electricity supply services in the State of Maryland, and requested cancellation of Brookfield's Maryland Electricity Supplier license. Brookfield requested that its cessation of service become effective sixty days from the date of a June 25, 2026 notice, or such other date as the PSC may approve.


Alignegy Receives Maryland License

The Maryland PSC granted Alignegy, LLC an electric broker license to serve commercial and industrial customers in all service areas


Local Power Receives Massachusetts License As Municipal Aggregation Broker

The Massachusetts DPU granted Local Power, LLC an electricity broker license, limited to providing consulting services to municipal aggregators. Local Power, LLC has operated as a consultant for opt-out municipal aggregations in several states
