PJM Capacity Auction Produces Price of $325/MW-day, Capacity Again Falls Short Of Reliability Requirement

PJM Interconnection today announced the results of its 2028/2029 Base Residual Auction, which produced a price of $325/MW-day, which is the FERC-approved price cap
The 2027/2028 Base Residual Auction had produced a price of $333.44/MW-day, which was the level of the price collar in such prior auction
The capacity of the resources procured in the 2028/2029 auction, plus FRR resources, is short of PJM’s reliability requirement by 6,831 MW
