CenterPoint-TDU Files To Increase DCRF Charged To REPs

CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, LLC applied at the Texas PUC for an increase in its Distribution Cost Recovery Factor (DCRF) which is charged to retail electric providers

For residential customers, the proposed DCRF would be about 1 mill per kWh higher than the current DCRF, as shown below

For the Secondary Service Less Than or Equal to 10 kVA class, the proposed DCRF would be about 1 mill per kWh higher than the current DCRF

CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric proposes an effective date, for the new DCRF charges, of 45 days after CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric provides notice to REPs of approved rates under the application. Given the statutory time for PUC review and the open meeting schedule, CEHE's proposed tariff for the new DCRF rates includes a proposed effective date of October 26, 2026.
