In an EDI implementation report, Consolidated Edison reported to the New York PSC the addition of a new optional purpose code 05 to denote rebills from original bills in two EDI Implementation Guidelines: the BIG08 segment in the 810 Invoice Utility Rate Ready transaction, and the BPT01 segment in the 867 Monthly Usage transaction.

The proposed implementation is recommended to be completed by January 2027. Testing will be conducted between late October 2026 through December 2026.
