PUC Issues Forfeitures To Dozens Of Retail Suppliers, Brokers
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
The PUC of Ohio has issued $1,000 forfeitures to dozens of retail energy suppliers and brokers for alleged failure to file an annual report for
fiscal assessment in 2025
PUCO ordered that the $1,000 fines on the companies shall be "delayed" 30 days to afford the relevant companies an opportunity to file an application for rehearing pursuant to R.C. 4903.10.
The relevant entities were directed to file their missing reports by Sept. 5 (the order also lists Sept. 8 as a "by" deadline in certain places).
Those entities that do not file
by the deadline, "will be in noncompliance of a Commission directive and
could be assessed an additional forfeiture pursuant to R.C. 4905.54 and 4905.84," PUCO said
The list of companies subject to the forfeiture are listed in PUCO's order here (starting on page 5 of PDF pagination)
