Texas Retail Provider Launches App Providing One-Tap Access To 200,000+ Public EV Chargers From Various Providers

Octopus Energy announced the offering of a new app, Octopus Charge, that allows users to both find and pay for public electric vehicle charging, which, "gives EV drivers a seamless way to find and access charging on-the-go all from one place."
Octopus Charge provides one-tap access to 10,000s of charging stations across North America and over 211,000 EV chargers, allowing users to instantly view charger speed, compatibility, pricing, live availability, and nearby amenities.
"We pass through charging network pricing, with no mark-up on kWh cost," Octopus Charge states
A non-exhaustive list of networks accessible though Octopus Charge names at least 24 EV charging networks as available through Octopus Charge, including EVGo, ChargePoint, bp pulse, Shell Recharge, FPL EVolution, and Blink. Octopus Charge works with over 1,600 charging networks across North America, Europe, and the rest of the world.
Octopus said that the app, "bring[s] the customer-first approach behind Europe's largest electric vehicle (EV) charging platform to public charging in the U.S."
"Octopus Charge is helping untangle that complexity by bringing charger discovery and charging sessions together in a single app so drivers can spend less time hopping between apps and more time enjoying the journey," Octopus said
