Massachusetts DPU Approves Boston Opt-Out Aggregation's Low-Income Community Shared Solar Program

The Massachusetts DPU has approved the implementation of a low-income community shared solar (LICSS)
program as part of the City of Boston's opt-out municipal electricity aggregation program
The LICSS program provides eligible low-income customers in the opt-out aggregation a reduced electric rate, resulting from shared solar credits
The DPU has also approved implementing a LICSS program at Cambridge's opt-out aggregation, and at several other cities and towns which run opt-out aggregations
As is customary, all municipal aggregation LICSS approvals are subject to the state's Dept. of Energy Resources issuing a statement of qualification to
the generation unit(s) relied on for the LICSS program
