Update: MidAmerican Energy Services, "Has Exited The Retail Energy Supply Business"

MidAmerican Energy Services said in an attachment included in a regulatory filing that, "MidAmerican Energy Services, LLC ('MES') is providing notice that it has exited the retail energy
supply business and is in the process of surrendering or relinquishing its authority to provide retail
energy supply service in the jurisdictions where it was previously authorized."
While the notice was addressed to a specific utility, the notice, as noted above, broadly states that MidAmerican Energy Services, "is in the process of surrendering or relinquishing its authority to provide retail
energy supply service in the jurisdictions where it was previously authorized," suggesting that MidAmerican Energy Services is completely exiting the retail energy
supply business
MES further said in the notice to a utility, "MES is discontinuing any remaining supplier registrations, operating
agreements, EDI relationships, trading relationships, and other utility-specific arrangements
associated with its former retail supplier activities."
In addition to filing to relinquish retail supplier licenses in Maryland and New York (first reported by ECM last week), MidAmerican Energy Services has also filed to relinquish its Delaware, Michigan and District of Columbia retail electric supplier licenses. Any additional relinquishment filings have not yet been posted publicly

MidAmerican Energy Services sold its retail electric book to Constellation in 2024, but at such time MidAmerican Energy Services retained its retail supplier licenses in various states
