Pennsylvania PUC Sets Date For Technical Conference On Cost Allocation For Capacity Costs From PJM Backstop Auction, & Other Large Load Cost Allocation Issues

The Pennsylvania PUC has scheduled for November 17, 2026 a technical conference concerning cost allocation issues arising from large loads
As first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, the technical conference is to, "vet issues of cost responsibility in a data center driven world," as described by Pennsylvania PUC Vice Chair Kimberly Barrow earlier this month
"As part of the educational and informative process, Commissioners will pose questions to the panelists and will engage the panelists in discussions related to large computational load cost allocation in Pennsylvania," the PUC said in a notice
The PUC will accept written comments in advance of the conference, as well as post-conference comments
