Sister Company Of Retail Energy Supplier Acquires Owner Of Natural Gas Wells
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
Bocor Holdings, a sister company of Advantage Energy Partners, announced the acquisition of 100% of the assets of Vanguard Energy, adding approximately 100 natural gas and oil wells to its portfolio, and bringing the company’s total portfolio to nearly 800 wells.
Advantage Energy Partners LLC serves as a supplier of natural gas at retail in Ohio, markets natural gas, and provides energy procurement and other energy consulting for electricity and gas
"The transaction comes on the heels of Bocor Holdings’ acquisition of C&T Energy and marks the company’s sixth completed transaction in the past five years, underscoring the company’s continued commitment to strategic growth and its long-term vision of building an integrated, locally focused energy platform," Bocor said
As part of the Vanguard transaction, Advantage Energy Partners will exclusively market the production from the newly acquired assets, "further strengthening the company’s ability to connect locally produced natural gas with customers throughout the region."
Bocor Holdings and Advantage Energy Partners are jointly owned by Mike Senff and Robert Hutcheson. "The companies have developed an integrated business model that connects energy production with energy marketing and customer solutions," Bocor said
"Advantage Energy continues to expand its unique position in the marketplace through its 'wellhead-to-burner-tip' strategy, connecting production directly with end users while creating opportunities to improve supply, manage energy costs and generate savings for customers," Bocor said
Advantage Energy currently serves more than 1,000 accounts in Ohio’s Enbridge service territory, utilizing its relationship with Bocor Holdings to provide customers with access to locally produced natural gas. "The company also serves thousands of customers across Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey, helping businesses manage electricity costs and navigate increasingly complex energy markets," Bocor said
"Vanguard is a tremendous strategic fit for what we have been building," said Senff. "Adding approximately 100 wells to our portfolio gives Advantage Energy greater access to production and further strengthens our wellhead-to-burner-tip strategy. Ultimately, this is about creating more value for our customers."
Hutcheson added, "Six transactions in five years is a significant accomplishment, but more importantly, it demonstrates the consistency of our strategy. Each transaction has been carefully evaluated based on how it strengthens our overall platform and creates additional opportunities for our customers. Vanguard continues that strategy."
"Bocor Holdings builds and manages the production platform, while Advantage Energy takes that energy to the marketplace," said Hutcheson. "That relationship allows us to look at the entire process -- from the wellhead to the burner tip -- and identify ways to create savings and efficiencies for customers. We believe that integrated approach gives us a unique position in the marketplace."
