PUC Order Prevents Disconnection of Service Over Non-payment of Disputed FirstEnergy Solutions Polar Vortex Surcharge, Affirms Jurisdiction Over Complaint
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio issued orders in two separate complaint cases concerning FirstEnergy Solutions' polar vortex surcharge directing that FES nor the utilities may terminate (disconnect) service to the complainants on the basis of the amounts disputed in the cases.
