News alerts by email
- Breaking News
Immediate alerts on all major breaking stories, plus the news of the day in the same alert. No limit on number of email sent per day, but alerts will rarely exceed two per day.
- Up to twice daily
Receive up to two email alerts daily as news developments dictate (including the news of the day in the same alerts). You'll never receive more than two email news alerts per day under this option (M&A and state alerts are separate). This option is most similar to Energy Choice Matters' traditional email alert cadence.
- One daily email
A strict limit of one email news alert per day (M&A and state alerts are separate). The single daily alert does not have a fixed send time, and under this option you may not be alerted to important breaking news until your next daily email, depending on timing.
- Weekly digestA weekly roundup of the week's most important stories (does not include all news from the week).
M&A, State, and Region alerts
Receive alerts on M&A or all stories in a region or specific state. The news in these alerts is the same news also included in our news alert emails, but allows you to receive only alerts on certain states if desired. Choosing an alert below does not itself replace or stop our news alert emails; if you don't want to receive both our news alert emails and specific state alerts, change your news alert preferences above.
- Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) alerts: as each story posts, daily or weekly
- Region alerts: CAISO Region, ERCOT Region, ISO-NE Region, MISO Region, NYISO Region, PJM Region
- State alerts: AZ, CA, CT, DE, DC, GA, IL, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, TX, VA, FERC, Emerging & New Markets

- Partner Updates & OffersOccasional emails from Energy Choice Matters featuring selected partners. We do not share your email address with these partners; emails are solely from Energy Choice Matters. You may unsubscribe at any time.
Sign-up uses a double opt-in: watch for a confirmation email (check spam if it does not arrive).
Before you sign up
- Individual addresses only. Group addresses like marketing@yourcompany.com are removed, because they get our emails marked as spam by people who never asked for them.
- No auto-forwarding rules to other addresses, for the same reason. Colleagues who want the alerts should sign up here themselves.
- Changing jobs? Unsubscribe your old address with the link in any email, then sign up fresh.
- A first and last name is required. We reserve the right to remove addresses that hurt deliverability, such as bouncing, full mailboxes, or spam-flagging domains.
Make sure our emails reach you
- Add paulring@energychoicematterz.com (our sending address; note the "z") to your address book. It is send-only; do not reply to it.
- Ask IT to whitelist Mailchimp per mailchimp.com/about/ips.
We never share the subscriber list with third parties except where compelled by a court or regulator.
