IDT Energy Offering PECO Residential Service on PA Power Switch
IDT Energy has started offering a residential electric rate on PA Power Switch for the PECO territory. IDT is offering a variable rate currently priced at 9.8139¢/kWh. As previously reported, IDT Energy began offering service through PA Power Switch at PPL earlier this month (1/3).

The Maryland PSC scheduled a legislative-style hearing for February 4 concerning Case 9236, the investigation of demand response billing options offered by utilities to federal end use customers (see 7/23).

FirstEnergy Solutions Names Management for Post-Merger Company
FirstEnergy Solutions announced its leadership should its parent's merger with Allegheny Energy be consummated. Donald Schneider will remain President of FirstEnergy Solutions Corp. Senior management at FirstEnergy Solutions reporting to Schneider will include Arthur W. Yuan, senior vice president, Retail Sales and Marketing (who is promoted to a senior-level VP); Kevin T. Warvell, vice president, Commercial Operations, Structuring and Pricing (who was recently in rate structure with FirstEnergy Corp. and worked with the Ohio utilities); James G. Mellody, vice president, Fuel and Unit Dispatch; and Tony C. Banks, vice president, Marketing Policies and E-Group. Reporting to Yuan will be Gerard J. Bellitt, vice president, Direct Sales.
