EDF Industrial Power Services, BlueStar Disclose Load Totals

During KEMA's Executive Forum, EDF Industrial Power Services said that its load is 1,100 MW to 1,200 MW, consisting of customers in Texas, Illinois, and New York. Texas represents the largest book, EDF said. BlueStar Energy Services also reported that its book is about 700 MW.


Energetix Joins RESA, Confirms Future "Beyond New York"

Energetix has joined the Retail Energy Supply Association as RESA's 20th member. Mark Beaudoin, president of Energetix, confirmed that Energetix's future, "lies beyond New York State." Energetix recently entered the PPL residential market (1/11), and late last month received an amended Pennsylvania gas supplier license to serve customers at PECO (4/1).


Viridian Lowering Pricing for 100% Renewable Product to Standard Rate

For the month of April, Viridian Energy is discounting its 100 percent wind product to the company's lower rate for its standard 20% renewable product.


Maryland Offshore Wind Bill Shelved

Maryland lawmakers deferred a bill which would require the utilities to enter into long-term contracts with offshore wind developers until next year's legislative session, due to cost concerns and the desire for more study. As written, the bill would have treated costs of the generation in a competitively neutral manner, via a nonbypassable charge with no output dedicated to SOS supply
