NextEra Energy Services Application Confirms Expansion to Residential Service

NextEra Energy Services Illinois, LLC's application for an amended Illinois alternative retail electric supplier license confirms that NextEra is seeking to serve residential and small commercial customers at both ComEd and Ameren. The application was first reported in Matters (5/16)

Texas Retail Energy LLC applied for an Ohio electric suppler license, stating that it will only serve affiliated Wal-Mart stores and related properties.

Reflective Energy Solutions, LLC has sought amendments to its Ohio electric and natural gas broker licenses to add service to residential customers, citing changing market conditions.


TWP Energy Will Select New Name, Not Related to Distribution Affiliate, After Sale

TWP Energy LLC, which has a pending natural gas supplier application in Pennsylvania, informed the PUC that once a pending sale of its parent, TWP Inc., to a subsidiary of Steel River Infrastructure Fund North America is completed, it will change its name and market its services in Pennsylvania under a new name which, "will not reference its regulated affiliate T. W. Phillips Gas and Oil Co. or TWP Inc." Steel River Infrastructure Fund North America currently owns Peoples Natural Gas and is in the process of acquiring T. W. Phillips Gas and Oil Co. Once licensed, TWP Energy LLC will assume the contracts of existing competitive supplier T. W. Phillips Energy Corp.


Public Power Energy Withdraws Maryland Gas Application

Public Power Energy LLC has withdrawn without prejudice its Maryland natural gas supplier application.


Allstate Power Relinquishes REP Certificate

State Power, Inc. d/b/a Allstate Power Company filed to withdraw its Texas REP certificate. The company, owned by Z. Ed Lateef, is not serving any customers, and has not served customers since certification. PUCT Staff had filed for revocation of the certificate based on the failure to serve customers within 24 months of certification, and failure to meet the new Subst. R. 25.107 (4/20).
