Ambit Energy Seeks Connecticut Electric License

Ambit Northeast, LLC d/b/a Ambit Energy has applied for a Connecticut electric supplier license to serve residential and commercial customers.


NextEra Energy Services Receives Authority to Serve Illinois Residential Customers

The Illinois Commerce Commission granted NextEra Energy Services Illinois, LLC an amendment to its electric supplier license to permit service to residential and small commercial customers (< 15,000 kWh) at both ComEd and Ameren. NextEra had previously held authority to serve customers with annual usage in excess of 15,000 kWh in both service areas. The application for the amendment was first reported in Matters (5/16)


Microsoft Receives Illinois Electric Supplier License

The Illinois Commerce Commission granted Microsoft Corporation an alternative retail electric supplier license limited to serving its own load, specifically, a 60 MW data center in Northlake, which is in the ComEd territory. The application was first reported in Matters (5/25)


Muirfield Energy to Broker Residential Customers in Ohio

Muirfield Energy has filed amendments to its Ohio electric and natural gas broker licenses to include service to residential customers.
