West Penn Power continues to see weekly residential migration growth in excess of 4,000 customers, according to the latest statistics from the Pennsylvania PUC.

As first reported by Matters yesterday 9/1, the latest weekly statistics reflect the continued decline in residential migration at PPL Electric Utilities.

For the most recent week, PPL saw a net loss of 1,566 migrated residential customers, accelerating the loss of 22 in the immediately prior week. As previously reported (8/25), the decrease likely reflects Dominion Retail's decision to return about 8,500 customers to default service.

Matters has also compiled a comparison of the migration levels from the 8/31/11 Report versus the 8/24/11 Report, as well as comparing the rate of migration in each of the past two weeks.
