Several, Unaffiliated Retail Suppliers Report Customer Counts In State, Future Plans

The residential customer count of several retail suppliers in Maryland was revealed in a federal lawsuit filed by the Retail Energy Advancement League and Green Mountain Energy Company against enforcement of Maryland law SB1

The suit notes that Green Mountain currently serves nearly 2,000 residential electricity customers in Maryland.
The suit also cites the customer count of CleanChoice Energy, Inc., who is a REAL member. CleanChoice is not a separate plaintiff to the suit, but is cited by REAL as allegedly suffering harm from the alleged unconstitutional provisions of SB1
The suit states that CleanChoice currently has about 20,000 residential electricity customers in Maryland.
The petition further states that CleanChoice is a 100% renewable electricity supplier to approximately 235,000 retail customers in the District of Columbia and eight states: Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.
The suit states, "CleanChoice is preparing to discontinue service for many of its existing customers and cease marketing to new customers in Maryland," as a result of SB1
