Start-up Power Marketer Confirms It Will Sell To Retail Electric Customers, Discloses Ownership

Strobe Power NY, LLC, the start-up power marketer that will offer customers the opportunity to join its "network" and will offer to pay customers for electricity from their solar, batteries, and generators, confirmed that it intends to sell electricity and other services to retail customers as part of its operations

In an updated application for FERC market-based rate authority, Strobe Power NY stated, "Applicant intends to become a power marketer licensed to sell electricity (and other
products and services) to wholesale and retail customers in various states in competition with
other wholesale and retail suppliers, including utilities."
Strobe Power NY further stated in the FERC filing that, "Applicant operates as a distributed
generation aggregator and intends to provide services enabling distributed generation asset
owners to participate in wholesale markets through its services while utilizing its platform.
Applicant requires the requested market-based rate authority to engage in such wholesale sales
of electricity."
In the FERC filing, Strobe Power NY stated that it is 100% owned by Strobe Power Corporation.
Strobe Power Corporation is 66.4% owned by
its CEO and COO, Keeley Erhardt and William Fisher as Tenants by the Entirety, and 33.2%
owned by Eric Schoonover, the balance is held by various minor stakeholders none of whom
own or control more than 5% of the company
Strobe Power NY further stated in the FERC filing that, "None of the Strobe [Strobe Power Corporation] Owners sits on the board of any other energy company, holds interest
in any other energy related company besides Fisher Family Trading, LLC doing business as Will
Power Development, a distributed generation power development company which has no current
energy assets or developments under its management, control or ownership , [sic] nor do the owners
currently have any investments in any generation or transmission projects or facilities."
In Strobe Power NY's original application for FERC market-based rate authority, with respect to the sale of ancillary service, Strobe Power NY had initially only sought A/S MBR authority for NYISO. In an updated application, Strobe Power NY seeks A/S MBR authority for all FERC-jurisdictional RTOs.
