The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com

The Georgia PSC granted Green Mountain Energy Company a waiver from the PSC's rule requiring the monthly filing by retail suppliers of standard rates, under Rule 515-7-3-.04(14), as Green Mountain had sought the waiver as it exits the Georgia natural gas market

See prior story for background

Green Mountain had said that it will soon file to relinquish authority to serve residential natural gas customers in Georgia, and asked for a waiver of the price posting rule until such time as Green Mountain has residential authority removed from its marketer certificate

Multiple other NRG-owned retail suppliers currently offer residential natural gas service in Georgia (specifically, Stream Energy and Xoom Energy had residential rates listed on the PSC's February monthly rate chart)
