GridSpot, a trade name for sole proprietor Mondrell V Harrison, filed a registration as a Texas retail electric broker

GridSpot recently began operations as an energy cost intelligence platform for businesses, analyzing, among other things, bill volatility and rate-driven cost changes

A trademark application filed by GridSpot describes its services as software as a service (SaaS), featuring software for analyzing utility usage, monitoring energy and resource consumption, and identifying cost drivers in utility bills.

GridSpot's website touts being able to connect to 60+ major U.S. utilities instantly with continuous visibility into demand, peaks, and rate impacts.

GridSpot's website indicates a focus on small and medium businesses, touting the provision of, "enterprise-grade energy intelligence to small businesses".

Services include:

• Live utility connection

• Bill change breakdown

• Hour-by-hour usage

• Forecasting

• After-hours detection

• Email alerts

• SMS alerts

• (premium plan) Cost spike detection

• (premium plan) Smart savings recommendations

• (custom enterprise plan) Portfolio-wide reporting

• (custom enterprise plan) Executive cost-per-location dashboard

• (custom enterprise plan) Custom alert logic

• (custom enterprise plan) Advanced demand analysis

As listed on GridSpot's website, GridSpot's standard plan is $99 per month, with a premium plan costing $199 per month, with a custom option also available. Annual discounts are offered for both the standard plan and premium plan

Mondrell V Harrison says of GridSpot, "We built GridSpot for the SMB owner who is flying blind on their energy costs. No real time visibility. No tools built for their budget. Just a bill that shows up and fluctuates with no explanation. That changes now."

Harrison has a sales and SaaS background in various industries, including restaurants
