The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com

PECO, as part of a newly filed natural gas rate case at the Pennsylvania PUC, proposed to increase the bypassable Gas Procurement Charge (GPC) to $0.0452 per Mcf, from the current $0.0360 per Mcf

PECO also proposed to update the uncollectibles factors used in the Merchant Function Charge, which will also be used as the updated purchase of receivables discount rates

Specifically, PECO proposes to set the MFC write-off factor and POR discounts as follows:

PECO Gas
                 MFC Write-Off Factor
                     POR Discount
Rate Schedule Current Proposed
GR (Residential) 0.47% 0.64%
GC (Commercial) 0.16% 0.30%
L, OL, MV-F 0.01% 0.02%

The MFC factors listed above would be applied to the default service commodity cost to determine the actual bypassable merchant function charge rate charged to customers, which will vary as the commodity cost varies
