Nevermore A Rate Spike? Start-up Rate Raven Launching Concierge Shopping Service

Rate Raven Inc., a start-up, is launching as a concierge retail energy shopping service
Rate Raven Inc. applied for a Pennsylvania electric broker/marketer license to serve all customer classes in all service areas.
Rate Raven indicated that it will expand "soon" to New Jersey, Maryland, New York, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Ohio, and Texas.
Rate Raven describes itself as a, "technology-driven concierge service that helps
residential and small commercial customers in deregulated electricity markets shop for lower
rates, switch suppliers, and receive ongoing monitoring and usage alerts."
"The Company
operates exclusively as a broker/marketer on a monthly subscription model and does not take
title to electricity or earn commissions from suppliers," Rate Raven stated
"Rate Raven utilizes advanced AI tools to scan utility bills,
compare real-time rates from official state sources (such as PAPowerSwitch), generate Letters of
Authorization, facilitate customer switches, and provide continuous monthly monitoring and
spike alerts," Rate Raven said
Rate Raven's website, which may not reflect final information given that the company has not yet launched service, indicates that its fee will be $99 when paid annually, or $10 per month if not purchased on an annual basis
Rate Raven's website states, "Rate Raven automatically finds the lowest Pennsylvania electricity rates and handles the switching for you."
Rate Raven's service includes auto-switching at plan expiration
"When your contract ends, we automatically move you to the next best rate. You never have to think about it -- and you never hit a rate spike," Rate Raven's website states
