PUC Approves Award Of Certain Non-Shopping Load To Retail Supplier

The PUC of Ohio has approved the results of an initial procurement for electricity supplies for Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP) electricity customers at Duke Energy Ohio, for a term of June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027
A post-auction report stated that at least one bidder submitted a conforming bid in the Duke Energy Ohio electric PIPP RFP process during the Bid Window on April 13, 2026.
Bidders must be registered as retail electric suppliers in order to participate in the PIPP supply RFP
PIPP customers are ineligible to shop
A benchmark price of $94.49 per MWh, which serves as a bid cap during the initial PIPP RFP, was established in the Duke Energy Ohio PIPP RFP
The PIPP RFP awarded 100% of electric PIPP load at Duke Energy Ohio
The winning retail supplier(s) and winning price(s) will be kept confidential for a customary period
