Retail Energy Vet Forms New Texas Broker
DeLa Energy Group LLC, a newly formed entity, registered as a Texas retail electric broker. Roberto De La Garza serves as General Manager of DeLa Energy Group. Roberto De la Garza Jr and Joanna Denise Torres are members of DeLa Energy Group LLC. A phone number for Roberto De La Garza listed in the broker registration has previously been identified as belonging to retail energy vet Bobby De La Garza
Another Lancium Entity Receives Texas REP Certificate
The Texas PUC granted Lancium REP II, LLC an Option 2 Texas retail electric provider certificate. Option 2 REPs are limited to serving customers 1 MW and larger which provide an affidavit agreeing to such service. Several Lancium entities are already certified as Option 2 REPs. Lancium is an energy technology and infrastructure company, developing campuses aimed at data center customers and bitcoin miners, among others. As previously reported, the Lancium entities which hold Option 2 Texas REP certificates would become competitive affiliates of Texas-New Mexico Power Company under a previously reported proposed merger (still pending regulatory approval outside of Texas) under which Texas-New Mexico Power Company would become an indirect subsidiary of Troy ParentCo LLC and Blackstone Infrastructure, due to the investment and stake in Lancium LLC held by several other Blackstone Inc. funds
Enersponse Files For Maryland License
Enersponse, LLC, a provider of demand response and virtual power plants among other services, filed an application for a Maryland electric supply license selecting the designation of "aggregator". Enersponse, LLC stated that it acts as a CSP for Demand Response programs in PJM. Maryland has a separate license process for Distributed Energy Resource Aggregators; Enersponse's filing was made on the electric supply license form, not the DER form. Enersponse sought authority to serve C&I customers in all service areas. Enersponse previously registered as a Texas retail electric broker
