Residential, Small Commercial Default Service Rates Increasing 15% At Dayton Power & Light
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
Dayton Power & Light (AES Ohio) has filed new energy charges under the Standard Offer Rate (SOR)
Unlike at some other Ohio EDCs, DP&L's Standard Offer Rate energy rate generally equals the price to compare, with no separate bypassable components (the alternative energy rider is embedded into the listed Standard Offer Rate energy rate)
All rates below are for customers not on the Percentage Of Income Payment (PIPP) program.
For standard, non-PIPP Residential customers (not Residential Heating) and for Secondary customers, Dayton Power & Light's Standard Offer Rate energy rate will increase 15% to $0.1085600 per kWh for the period June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027, from the current $0.0945004 per kWh
For Primary customers Dayton Power & Light's Standard Offer Rate energy rate will increase 15% to $0.1057875 per kWh for the period June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027, from the current $0.0920827 per kWh
Rates for additional classes can be found in DP&L's proposed tariff here
