Texas Retail Provider Reports Customer Count In Q4 2025 Book Sale

Stat Energy, in a filing concerning its previously reported request to relinquish its Texas retail electric provider certificate, reported the number of customers in a previously reported sale of its customer book to Spark HoldCo, LLC, an affiliate of Via Renewables, Inc.
Stat Energy reported that in October 2025 Stat had agreed to assign to Spark Energy 1,271 customers, with 1,150 of such customers at Oncor, and 121 of such customers at CenterPoint Energy Houston Energy
In a prior 10-K, Via Renewables had not specified, by retail supplier name, an October 2025 book acquisition.
However, without specifying the seller by name, Via Renewables had in a 10-K for the year 2025 reported as follows, as previously reported: "In October 2025, we entered into an asset purchase agreement to acquire up to 3,300 RCEs for a cash purchase price of up to a maximum $0.5 million paid in cash or funded in escrow accounts. These electricity customers were located in our existing market and transferred from the sellers to the Company in the fourth quarter of 2025."
