Delmarva-MD Residential, Small Commercial SOS Rates Increasing 5-8% In October

Delmarva in Maryland has filed new residential and Type I SOS electric rates for the period October 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027, updates to the bypassable SOS Admin. Charge which change the previously set June 1, 2026 to September 30, 2026 SOS mass market rates, and new Type II SOS rates for the period June 1, 2026 to August 31, 2026
Notably, the SOS Admin. Charges are increasing for most classes, including residential customers, on June 1, 2026
Specifically, the total SOS Administrative Charges for Residential, Type I, Type
II, and Hourly Service will change effective with June 2026 bills from 4.43 mills per kWh,
4.72 mills per kWh, 3.95 mills per kWh and 2.00 mills per kWh, to be 4.62 mills per kWh, 3.94
mills per kWh, 4.76 mills per kWh and 2.60 mills per kWh, respectively
For standard Service Class R residential customers, the Delmarva Maryland SOS Kilowatt-hour Charge, including Admin. charge, will be $0.110919 per kWh for the period October 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027, or 8% higher than the revised charge of $0.102820 per kWh for the period June 1, 2026 to September 30, 2026
The SOS Kilowatt-hour Charge does not include bypassable transmission or the bypassable PCA (reconciliation)
For standard (not separately metered heating, etc) Service Classification
Small General Service – Secondary Service SGS-S Type I customers, the Delmarva Maryland SOS Kilowatt-hour Charge, including Admin. charge, will be $0.107637 per kWh for the period October 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027, or 5% higher than the revised charge of $0.102574 per kWh for the period June 1, 2026 to September 30, 2026
